Following a seemingly new trend with video games, Deck13 has announced a demo for their latest game, The Surge.
Released back in May, The Surge is a survival action-RPG that throws players into a dystopian future where malfunctioning mechs are malfunctioning in a homicidal way. The demo, available now, will feature several hours of gameplay for players to test mechanics and decide if it’s the right game for them. Even better, any progress made in the demo will carry over to the full version once bought.
We reviewed The Surge and think it’s “a great adventure that challenges players to tactfully and woefully engage in the dystopian world”. Check out the entire review here.
The demo for The Surge is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
My Opinion:
I enjoyed my time with The Surge and am happy that Deck13 decided to release a demo. To my happy surprise, I’m ecstatic for the player that the progress will carry over, unlike other demos (looking at you Prey).
