The best horror games nowadays are coming from the indie scene. In large part, that’s due to the success of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. A horror game that brought back the rarely used idea of removing combat from a game and in effect, leaving a player feeling helpless. Indie developer, Red Barrels was inspired by that idea when creating Outlast.
As a 3rd installment and exclusive launch title to a next gen console, Dead Rising 3 had a lot of hype to live up to. Even with this pressure, Capcom did not disappoint and displayed what the Xbox One is capable of.

The Wolf Among Us is Telltale’s latest episodic series based on the comic book, Fables, written by Bill Willingham. With this latest franchise, the question that immediately came to mind was whether or not Telltale could translate the wild success of their popular Walking Dead franchise and apply it to a new series or were they, in a vague sense of the phrase, a one hit wonder?
