As promised by Sony to make amends for PlayStation Network’s holiday outage, a storewide 10% discount is now live on PSN. The one-time discount applied to a total cart purchase may be used between now and 12 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, January 26th.
Sony says that the one-time 10% discount for all PSN members can not be used for pre-orders.
One of the men related to the DDOS attacks on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network this past Christmas has been arrested. The 18-year old British native was taken into custody after a combined effort of a number of cyber crimes units. A variety of major gaming companies, including Sony, may be the victim of coordinated distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, according to Sony’s President, Shuhei Yoshida. The ‘group’ that has claimed to have carried out the attacks calls themselves the ‘Lizard Squad’.
