According to Dualshockers, an anonymous source has revealed what Sony’s plans are for E3, right down to what will happen during their E3 press conference. However, how true can these claims be?
As I look throughout the article, I’ll be offering a breakdown of each claim, my views of them and my beliefs whether or not they could be true.

A 3-minute trailer of Uncharted 4 will be shown, with gameplay segments thrown in. As well as a tropical setting with both Nathan Drake and Sir Francis Drake, the game will be set to release in the Summer of 2015.
As with the other Naughty Dog news, I am skeptical about this. With Amy Hennig and others leaving the studio, the game will not be this far into development to have a release window in 2015 or a 3 minute trailer. I think another trailer will be shown and maybe a release window (most likely Holiday 2015 or 2016), but the trailer will not have gameplay and be a minute at most.

Media Molecule will reveal a launch title for Project Morpheus, which will feature world building and bright visuals. It is possible that this could be Entwined and to be released late in 2015.
No. Though the studio even had some sculpting thing that was showcased at the PS4 reveal event, MM will be releasing a game for the core PS4 and will not support Morpheus. Even though this could be Entwined, like the rumor stated, I don’t think it is likely as a launch title for Project Morpheus, which was only revealed this spring.

Gran Turismo 6 will be ported for the PS4 at 1080p and 60 FPS as Gran Turismo 7: Prologue with extra features. The release schedule will be around mid to late 2015.
Although I think this might be true, it would not be called Gran Turismo 7: Prologue, mostly because this is a racing game. If GT was a game with a story, I could understand this. Maybe it will be titled Gran Turismo 6: Special Edition. The release schedule seems about right, but with Driveclub also coming out this year (on October 7th), this could be tricky when it comes to marketing. I think that 2016 seems better, so that Driveclub can have some breathing room.

A God of War 4 teaser will be present, but not feature a release date or much at all.
This information is almost guaranteed. If the rumor is to be believed, it would be implied that Sony would want to quell fears surrounding Sony Santa Monica, and a God of War teaser would be the best at doing that. Even if the new IP that they have been working on was shown instead of God of War, something from SSM will definitely be there.

Sony Bend will reveal that it is working on a Syphon Filter reboot, possibly with the KILL STRAIN trademark tied with it. A Winter 2014 release window is expected.
I like this rumor. I like the idea around it, and Sony Bend has been sitting on Syphon Filter for a while. People have been wanting a reboot of this franchise for a while. Since we can assume that Sony Bend is working on a PS4 game, than this would be awesome. However, not much has been hinted about a Syphon Filter reboot. Is it likely? Not really, but it would be nice.

Wipeout is coming to PS4, although the studio developing it is not known.
Nope. I don’t see this happening. Wipeout is a dead franchise in my opinion because the developer Sony Liverpool was defunct since the last Wipeout game, Wipeout 2048. With Driveclub and Gran Turismo already rumored about, this doesn’t seem likely.

Quantic Dream has a trailer prepared to show with visuals similar to the Dark Sorcerer demo. They are also in relations with Sony Worldwide Studios, along with Ready at Dawn.
I don’t think that Quantic Dream will be at E3. After Beyond: Two Souls, which was released later last year, they will be working on a new game without anything to show. As for them working with Worldwide Studios, I don’t think it will happen. Beyond: Two Souls got a bad reputation for being less of a game and more of a linear story without much choice, and I think Quantic Dream needs one more game for Sony to pick them up. With Sony closing more studios than getting them, a critical success after Beyond: Two Souls is almost needed.

The Order: 1886 will have a stage demo and will be released in Fall 2014.
Definitely. All the way, the next big game for Sony is The Order: 1886. I have been underwhelmed by it so far because it looks almost generic as a third person shooter, and if Ready at Dawn can blow it out of the water here, then it will be awesome. If they do not get a stage demo, it could spell bad news for the game.

Ninja Theory is working on a PS4 exclusive game. It is far in development, and is likely a Heavenly Sword sequel.
I don’t think so. With the Heavenly Sword movie coming up soon, this in an unnecessary addition to the lineup. If anything, a reboot would be in order. However, if the original Heavenly Sword was ported, then that would work, and the entire studio wouldn’t be involved in it. Also, I believe that Ninja Theory is making another Devil May Cry game, which, if it is a PS4 exclusive, would hurt a lot of fans. Think Bayonetta. When the first game was released, it was multiplatform but moved to be exclusive to the Wii U for the sequel. The same would apply here. Thus, Ninja Theory is not involved with the PS4 exclusively.

Sony London will be at E3 with a AAA title, which is a 3rd person game.
I don’t know about it, but it seems likely. There’s not much information is here to speculate on, so I will just move on.

Guerilla Games will reveal their RPG at E3 that will please the hardcore audience.
I would love to say that this is likely, but not really. After Killzone: Shadow Fall, I would like to see the other studios show off what they got. It is my understanding that Guerilla is a one-studio team, and them changing gears from a shooter to an RPG takes time to do. Maybe in 2016, not in 2015.

Sucker Punch will reveal inFAMOUS: Second Son DLC with new powers.
I think this is a sure thing. Hopefully this is the paper power that the Paper Trail was what many fans were wishing for, but anything like that is great. Their DLC will be present in order to show that they did not abandon their game.

Studio Japan will reveal two games. One is Project Beast, which is the spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls. The other is The Last Guardian, with a release date in the Winter 2014. A possible third game has a cloak of mystery around it.
Let me start with the first one. This seems like a good idea, but if Project Beast is revealed, it would not be announced so soon to the release of Dark Souls. It would cause some confusion to most people. Also, for the second one, LONG LIVE THE LAST GUARDIAN! This is a joke at this point. It has been rumored to be in development for 7 years now and announcements have been hinted at. However, if I see The Last Guardian at E3, I will celebrate with confetti and large amounts of alcohol.

Evolution will give Driveclub some time, with a demo available on the floor.
This is gonna happen. With Driveclub having some recent trouble and rumors behind it, now is the best time to find out exactly what Driveclub is all about.

The show will end on a teaser for The Last of Us sequel.
Nope. Never going to happen. Forget about it. With all the trouble surrounding Naughty Dog and the fact that the first The Last of Us game is coming to PS4 soon, the idea that The Last of Us would have a sequel in the wings is utterly outrageous.
Aside from those major points, there were speculation that seemed obvious, like PS3 and Vita price drops, a segment into Project Morpheus and PlayStation Now. The Instant Game Collection will get some attention and the Vita will get a little love, but this conference will be mostly on the PS4. I think this is most likely to happen, although I hope the Vita price drop would apply to the memory cards and not to the system itself.
I am surprised that the rumor said not much about the indies. If I had to speculate, there will be more indies at E3, but this isn’t my rumor list.

I think there is a chance they have a sequel to Last of Us in the works, but it’s not coming out anytime soon. I believe that if anything they will announce it like they did Uncharted 4, nothing to show.

I really like your logic. Reading your comments felt like it was articulating what I was thinking when I first read all the rumors. I think you’re about spot on.

Obviously the entire article is guesswork, but I’m a little puzzled by your reasoning regarding the Gran Turismo 7: Prologue rumor. Given that Sony released Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on the PS3, which is where this idea is coming from.
