Earlier this morning, BioWare released a teaser trailer of an unknown game. The live action teaser features a man running down an alleyway, only to wake up from what seems to be a nightmare.
The teaser website only has a teaser trailer, and it is suggested that more about the game will be revealed during GamesCom at Germany in August. The way the teaser looks, it seems that they may be making a horror game.
BioWare has been making games since the mid 1990s. They are best known for the Mass Effect, Knights of the Old Republic, Dragon Age and Baldur’s Gate. While they are known to make RPGs, they only made one non-RPG which was MDK2, which was a third person shooter. At E3 they announced that they are in the process of making two new games. One of them will be the next game in the Mass Effect Universe, and a mysterious game that is still early in development. Seeing that this is ready to be shown soon, I doubt that this was the game they were talking about. The next game BioWare will be releasing is Dragon Age: Inquisition which was just delayed to November 18th.
It’s too early to tell, but if BioWare is making a non-RPG horror game, I would be intrigued. Even if thereis RPG elements in the game, I would still be interested in it due to the fact that it’s a new IP from BioWare. Hopefully, they will have at least a gameplay trailer to show off what the game is.
