The Evil Within Has Gone Gold

The Evil Within has officially gone gold, meaning the game is complete. It is currently getting packed and shipped to retailers, the Bethesda Blog announced.

Bethesda’s anticipated horror game is Shinji Mikami’s first survival horror game since Resident Evil 4.  The game was originally planned for an August release, but the team needed additional time for polish.

Psycho Break, as it is titled in Japan, stars a detective who is knocked unconscious after being ambushed and wakes up in a nightmarish world.  The Evil Within is a third person game that has player scrounging for supplies and utilizing various weapons and strategies to defeat foes.

The Evil Within will be out in Europe and North America on October for 14th for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.

My Opinion:

I have mixed feelings about this game.  On one hand it is directed by Shinji Mikami, but people who gotten their hands on The Evil Within say that it feels stiff and outdated.  However, it is good to hear that it will make its release date.
