PlayStation Plus owners will be getting a treat this month, as this month’s perks have more than the standard fare.
Both American and European PlayStation 4 owners will receive Dust: An Elysian Tail, an action RPG beat-’em-up making its debut for PlayStation 4. A former Xbox Golden Game, the game follows Dust and his sword as he tries to figure out his past in the 2D world of Falana.
Spelunky is an action adventure game that is also debuting this month on the PS4. For those who have not experienced this game, it is cross-buy with PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
In a bonus this month, Driveclub is releasing a demo for PS+ subscribers. This demo contains all the game modes, but only 11 tracks and 10 cars. Players who want to fully experience this racing simulator can upgrade to the full version for $49.99 USD.
PlayStation 3 owners will don the cowl and enter the madhouse in Batman: Arkham Asylum. The first in Rocksteady’s Arkham series, Asylum introduces players to the various characters in the DC universe, like the Joker, Scarecrow and Harley Quinn, as well as the unique battle system that has been attempted but never duplicated.
From the new to the old, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara is also coming to the PS3 as a perk. With two modes of play, this D&D game has leaderboards, drop-in/drop-out co-op and the ability for house rules.
Vita and PS4 owners can get a dose of cuteness and violence with Pix the Cat, an indie arcade game debuting this month. Players control a cat as they collect ducklings in Pac-Man-esque levels. Local multiplayer is also available in the Arena mode, so up to four players can get little ducklings while trying to avoid the other cats.
Vita owners also share a game with PS3 this month with Rainbow Moon, an RPG with a beautiful world, both in terms of lore and art style. With 6 unique characters and over 20 dungeons, there is no lack of content here.
Be sure to get these games on October 7th when they launch, and don’t forget to grab last month’s games before they are taken down.
I am going to love to pick up Dust: An Elysian Tail and Pix the Cat as well as Spelunky. I could care less about Driveclub, but it would be interesting to try out at least. What will you be picking up this month?
