PS4 Exclusive To Be Announced In December?

It looks like Sony is set to announce a PlayStation 4 exclusive title this December, and according to sources, it could cause quite the reaction.

Julien Chieze, co-founder and editor of Gameblog France, revealed his knowledge of the announcement on Twitter. His translated tweet reads:

I just learned the existence of BIG #PS4 exclusive which will engulf the internets in December. Be prepared.

A second editor, Romain Mahut added to the hype with a tweet of his own:

I know what it is and I can tell you that it will actually make a lot of noise (and induce rage).

It’s safe to assume that the rumoured announcement will take place during Sony’s very first PlayStation Experience event scheduled for December 6th and 7th in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will offer insight into what Sony has planned for the coming year, and allow attendees hands-on experience with upcoming titles. Let the speculation begin!

My Opinion:

The rumors surrounding Sony’s PlayStation Experience event have only heightened my anticipation. Specifically, I am curious as to why the rumoured announcement may cause such a reaction. Perhaps Sony is looking to make an existing IP ‘exclusive’ to PS4, similar to what Microsoft did with Rise of the Tomb Raider? Personally, I’m hoping for an entirely new IP. With the holiday season rapidly approaching, December may be the perfect time to announce a new title. I cannot wait to see what Sony has in store for us!
