2016 was a roller coaster of a year. There was a wild U.S. Election, the Olympics and the Cubs finally won the World Series. Similarly, this was quite the year in gaming as well. Final Fantasy XV finally came out after a decade of anticipation, Pokémon GO took the world by storm, and Battlefield 1 finally gave us a game to write home about. After such an exciting year, we should look back and recognize the good things gaming has given us. Ladies and gentlemen, MONG’s Games of 2016. Continue reading MONG’s Game of the Year 2016
The fall has always been the busiest part of the gaming year. The end of September sees the beginning of a yearly onslaught of games that puts constraints on every wallet and day planner in the industry. For the players, the fall was the beginning of the arduous wait until our Holiday wishes were made reality. Black Friday was the date that put a hard cap on the season and virtually guaranteed increased success for an individual game or publisher.
And it is in the process of losing its relevance.

Welcome to episode 108 of the MONG Podcast! The crew genuinely hopes you’ve come here for fun, because that’s what you’re gonna get. This episode contained the most talk of Gone Home and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture ever in any podcast not specifically about either of those games. We’re secretly trying to win the #1 Conversational Gone Home/Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture combo cast award. All jokes aside, the crew did cover stories such as the massive deluge of new Division info, Phantom Dust’s (hopeful) revival, the coming of the Danganronpas to the Steam store and Journey interactive LIVE. The Thought from Nowhere this week was the most heated yet with the crew debating who’s better, Lara Croft, or Nathan Drake. Fun fact, Nate and Debate rhyme! Come have a fun time! Watch the podcast… thine! Thanks to Tabata Silver for the Thought Out of Nowhere! Continue reading MONG Podcast 108 | The Legendary Debate: Lara v Nate
