The holiday season has come early for those wanting to purchase an Xbox One, with Microsoft announcing a limited time price cut in North America.
The deal, which begins on November 2nd and runs until January 3, 2015, sees the price of the standalone console (without Kinect) fall to $349. This saving of $50 will also extend to the upcoming special editions for Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Sunset Overdrive.
In the Xbox press release, Yusuf Medhi — corporate vice president for Microsoft — said:
“Fans don’t have to wait for Black Friday this year to enjoy great savings on Xbox One. We’re offering our best price yet, with unprecedented choices and value, so more people can play on Xbox One this holiday.”
“We’re gearing up for one of our biggest holidays ever and we are thrilled to offer fans up to $150 in savings on Xbox One and some of the biggest blockbuster games of the season.”
My Opinion:
With games such as Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection hitting stores in the coming weeks, and existing exclusives such as Forza Horizon 2, you won’t find a better time to pick up an Xbox One. I was a day one adopter of the console, and have not regretted my purchase one bit.
