Could there be any better news to be woken up to than this, Halo fans? Apparently, a video featuring leaked footage of the content meant to connect Halo 5: Guardians to the Halo: The Master Chief Collection was released into the wilds of the internet last night. Now be warned… it may be too awesome for some viewers.
The leaked footage can be seen below:
The video features Agent Locke and what appears to be his official introduction to the Arbiter. While a collaboration between the two characters has already been teased in past trailers, this is the first time you actually get to see what the Arbiter now looks like. In some new badass gold armor, it appears that the Arbiter has made some improvements since we had last seen him in Halo 3.
Another interesting detail to note is that the Forerunner “bird”, the one that was part of the original Halo 5 trailer, makes an appearance in a hologram in the background.
This leak is on the heels of a recent picture from 343, possibly hinting at the next Halo‘s release date. Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be releasing for the Xbox One on Nov 11th.
Despite the fact that I personally have an issue with leaks, as they usually spoil otherwise awesome moments within a game that has yet to be released, I cannot help but feel a bit excited after seeing this. If anything, it just makes the wait until the game’s official release feel even longer….
