PlayStation Now Is Shaping Up With A New Plan and Old Games

Sony’s game streaming service is beginning to come into its own according to information from Director of Marketing, Peter Jamshidi. Jamshidi’s insightful information, which includes news of a new subscription plan, and plans for PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games, comes by way of comments by the director in a recent Playstation Blog post.

When replying to a comment about the possibility of a subscription plan for PlayStation Now, the director of marketing had this to say:

“Yes, A subscription plan is being worked on, and I’m very excited about it. We see it adding a complimentary option to rentals as a way to enjoy immediate access to PlayStation 3 games via PlayStation Now. More details coming in the near future!”

The other significant piece of news to come from Jamshidi’s comments was that PS1 and PS2 games will be coming although it may be a while. There are plans to implement these classics in the future, but the current focus is on adding more PS3 titles.

My Opinion:

I have always been interested yet skeptical of PlayStation Now. To see it finally beginning to take off is good news though. Because I still enjoy playing PS1 and PS2 games to this day, I know that feature won’t go to waste. In regards to the subscription plan, I think I’ll wait for the pricing details to formulate an opinion.
