Turtle Rock Studios has announced that Evolve has gone gold, meaning the game is now complete and off to the manufacturers.

To coincide with the announcement, a new intro cinematic has been released and can be viewed below.

2K has also announced that Evolve merchandise is available to purchase through their store.

The work is not over for Turtle Rock, as they will now turn their attention to the open beta — arriving next week, exclusively for Xbox One.

Evolve is set to release on February 10, 2015 and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

My Opinion:

A game going gold isn’t groundbreaking news, but least we now know that Evolve won’t be delayed any further. I wasn’t entirely hooked when I played the alpha, but next week’s beta gives me one more chance to play prior to release.
