The popular standalone Arma II mod, DayZ, has sold over three million copies on PC.
Bohemia Interactive’s zombie survival game has been available for over a year now on Steam Early Access. While the game is not complete, the studio has released 24 updates that have offered redesigns to key additions to the experience.
“We would like to say thank you to every single one of the three million players, that have joined us on the journey of making DayZ. You all have helped make DayZ the best open world, zombie survival game,” David Durcak, the project lead said.
The team plans to keep updates coming throughout 2015.
An official release date for the completed retail version of DayZ is expected in 2016, and the team has plans to release the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in the future.
My Opinion:
Congratulations to Bohemia Interactive! I still have not played DayZ, but it has piqued my interest for quite awhile now. I can’t wait to give it a try when it comes to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
