Xbox Live members can look forward to three new games this month, as Microsoft has announced their latest Games With Gold lineup.
For the Xbox One, players will get the chance to check out the brand new Massive Chalice. This turn-based strategy game comes from Double Fine Productions, who also brought us the fantastic Broken Age. In this epic fantasy world, you step into the shoes of an immortal ruler with the goal of defeating a mysterious enemy known as Cadence.
Xbox One owners will also get another month to download Pool Nation FX for free. This is the third month that the pool simulator has been part of the ‘Pool Nation for Gold’ deal.
For Xbox 360 owners, the trend of fantastic offerings continue for the month of June. First up, players will be able to get their hands on Just Cause 2. This third-person sandbox game requires you to cause as much chaos and destruction as possible to the fictional island of Panau. This can be done with the trusty grappling hook and a large arsenal of weapons.
After June 15th, the game on Xbox 360 will change to the 2014 first-person action stealth adventure Thief. This fourth entry in a long-running series puts you in the role of a master thief named Garrett, who takes on various missions that center around stealing from the rich. Stealth is critical to your success throughout this game.
Remember, even if you don’t plan on playing these games right away, you only have to commence the download to make sure you have it. They are free after all!
My Opinion:
Pool Nation FX again?! While Massive Chalice is a decent offering, it is very disappointing that we keep getting the same second game over and over. All this does is highlight how far ahead Sony is with their PlayStation Plus deal. That being said, the Xbox 360 lineup is fantastic once again. Microsoft are really providing a great deal to gamers who have not made the new generation jump yet.
