Though lacking in further detail, Moon Studios said that they heavily focused on fan feedback from the initial release of Ori and the Blind Forest when developing the newer version, which will include new areas, artwork, mechanics, and the possibility of new abilities. The studio revealed that the Definitive Edition will be “the ultimate version of Ori” on Xbox Daily: Live.
Ori and the Blind Forest was released earlier this year, receiving critical acclaim and praise which lead to the game becoming profitable after only one week. For more on Ori and the Blind Forest, check out our review on the game when it first came out.
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition should come as a surprise to no one, considering that Ori and the Blind Forest was THE top indie developer game this year. I mean, I was blown away with how beautiful and creative this game was; it was absolutely breathtaking, so no wonder they decided to expand on it more! Kudos to Microsoft for backing this game so that we could enjoy it. I don’t own an Xbox One, unfortunately, but I will definitely be bumming my boyfriend’s when the Definitive Edition comes out!
