Nioh getting another demo on PS4 this August

Been chomping at the bit for more Nioh since its last demo in April? Well good news, another demo is coming this August.

Arriving August 23rd, and running until September 6th, Nioh’s second demo (being called the beta demo) will feature a new “dojo stage” that will teach the basics of Nioh’s samurai combat system via intense training sessions. Further, players will also be able to explore a yet-to-be-announced stage. In addition to this, a selection of new katanas, spears, axes, hammers, and other weapons will be available to collect, and add to your arsenal.

Other than being coined the “samurai Dark Souls,” what is Nioh about? Well here is an official description provided by Community Manager, Chin Soon Sun, of Koei Tecmo (the publisher) via the PlayStation Blog:

“Nioh follows the tale of William Adams as he travels to Japan and becomes a samurai. Players will discover a deep and enticing world that blends history and Japanese folklore. The tough gameplay pits players against daunting and overpowering creatures, and encourages them to learn their enemies’ tactics to gain the advantage in battle.”

Nioh’s first demo racked in more than 850,000 players, and was more importantly used to gather player feedback and refine the game.

Scheduled for launch in 2016, Nioh is being developed by Team Ninja exclusively for the PS4.

My Opinion:

I’m already sold on Nioh, and have been for awhile. Therefore, like the last demo, I will be avoiding this in order not to sully the full experience when it launches.
