At Tokyo Game Show 2016, Capcom brought all kinds of new Resident Evil 7 goodies to share with the world.
First and foremost, a brand new trailer was shown to give a better sense of the upcoming game’s atmosphere, action, and characters:
Next, Capcom revealed that it has updated the Beginning Hour demo with new areas and secrets to uncover, in addition to making it available for all PlayStation 4 owners to download. More than that, several new screenshots were also released to help tide us over until the latest Resident Evil title releases on January 24, 2017.

My Opinion:
I already declared that Resident Evil is Dead, and I’m not seeing much evidence to the contrary. This looks more like someone really wanted to make a Texas Chain Saw Massacre or Wrong Turn game, but wasn’t able to secure the rights. Crazy hillbilly families aren’t what I’m looking for in a Resident Evil game, superhuman or no…

What exactly ARE you looking for in a RE game, then? They rebooted the series graphically in the 90’s and completely changed genres with RE4. The only constant until this new reboot was a really stupid corporate conspiracy story and awful acting. If Resident Evil is dead to you because they’re trying something new and scary again–and better, by concensus–then “Rest In Peace.”

This was posted prior to RE7’s unveiling, but sums up what I’d like to see regardless:
