One of the biggest highlights of EA Play this year is the newest game from Josef Fares, the creator of indie darling Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, and his new team Hazelight Studios. With their first game, A Way Out, they teamed with EA to make this unique game possible.
A Way Out is a Co-Op Only adventure featuring two inmates breaking out of prison during the 1970s. Not only do they need to team up to break out, but they must stick together if they wish to escape as they are hunted by the authorities and strive to take care of their loved ones.
A Way Out promises that it will feature unique gameplay opportunities for the players. From shootouts, chases and even heists. The entire game is Co-Op only, either by local split-screen or online.
A Way Out will be available early 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
If there was one major highlight of the EA’s E3 Conference, this was it. This could potentially be the most unique game announced at E3 this year. The fact that it’s co-op only will be a deal breaker to some, but I hope that it does well. I’m going to need to find someone to play this with me, but if I do, I can’t wait to play it.
