As part of Microsoft’s E3 Conference, Square Enix revealed Life is Strange: Before the Storm, a prequel to the successful episodic game Life is Strange.
Set three years before the events of the first game, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, will take players back to Arcadia Bay and this time around you control Chloe. This prequel allows players to see the relationship between Chloe and Rachel, which was only spoken about in the original game.

The first episode of the three-part season of Life is Strange: Before the Storm releases on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on August 31th.
A prequel to Life is Strange seems to be the most appropriate strategy for the series. Since the final decision of the original game alters the ending significantly, this won’t divide players due to their choice. However, I am concerned that the entire allure of a super-powered friend from the first game is lacking here and could lack a critical element that fans have come to love from this franchise.
