Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Rated M

Jump Festa 2014 took place in Tokyo over the weekend, and Square Enix showcased a new trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD revealing a little surprise for many fans of the series.

Though the ESRB has not yet published an official rating for the game, the beginning of the trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD revealed that the upcoming remaster will be rated M for Mature.

No previous Final Fantasy game has ever received an ESRB rating higher than T for Teen, but with the high levels of blood, violence and adult themes in the original PlayStation Portable game, some have found this news hardly surprising.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be released in North America on March 17, 2015 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Included with the game is a demo for Final Fantasy XV.

My Opinion:

Also notable from the new trailer is a glimpse into the game’s darker plot and more fast-paced combat system, breaking away from norm. If this is what Final Fantasy fans can expect from the series going forward, then Final Fantasy XV may prove to be well worth the wait. I know that apart from this remaster’s inclusion of a FFXV demo, for me it is quickly becoming a must-buy, come March.
