Now we get to the fun part. Remember when I said I never wanted to see Old Russia again? Destiny proved that to be an untrue statement over and over again while I played. As a matter of fact, I can’t wait for the beta; even after having driven, walked, and shot through Old Russia for hours on end, I still want to see more of it. My Time With the Destiny Alpha – The Devils’ Lair
Once I had my fill of the Tower (read: spent all of my money on gear) I headed back out. In my excitement I decided to jump into The Devils’ Lair strike mission which was made available by beating the first mission. The Devils’ Lair was a mission to infiltrate a Fallen stronghold and take down the big bad enemy hidden within. I queued up for it alone, and was (lucky) tossed into the instance with two other players. That was my first experience playing in a fireteam. My Time With the Destiny Alpha – The Tower
Once I had done the dirty on the Hive and Fallen enemies in the first mission, the game ushered me back to the “Set Destination” screen. It was a screen that I got well acquainted with and the direct cause of my picking up another space ship. The set destination screen was a flashy menu for picking where I wanted to go next, and that’s not a bad thing. Seeing my ship (or ships if I was in a fireteam) orbiting around Earth was fairly cool. My Time With The Destiny Alpha – The First Mission
The moment character creation was done, I was thrust into the world as a Guardian who had something to prove. I was dropped into the Old Russia map, a setting that I thought I had grown tired of after watching countless gameplay videos. Needless to say, I was never happier to be in Russia. My Time With the Destiny Alpha – Character Creation
We’ll kick things off where most games begin, character creation. However, before I even began to think about deciding what my character would look like, the game asked me the most important question affecting gameplay, what class would I be? Just enough to get us more excited. Continue reading Mortal Kombat X Revealed to Have Persistent Online Mode
ABZU Announced
According to the trailer for ABZU that was shown at the Sony E3 Press Conference, “Ab” means water, and “zu” means “to know.” That said, I have very little idea of what exactly is going on in this game which developer Giant Squid Studios is bringing to us. However, I gotta tell ya, that’s not a bad thing. Continue reading ABZU Announced
Mortal Kombat X Trailer Sneaks in a Third Reveal
I’ve been a fan of the Mortal Kombat series for as long as I can remember. That said, I don’t think my fandom will be dropping off any time soon considering the gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat X that was shown at the Sony E3 Press Conference. No Man’s Sky Lives!
Apparently the recent flooding of the Hello Games studio isn’t enough to stop them from bringing us their title, No Man’s Sky. Their little teaser to IGN aside, the trailer came out of nowhere at the Sony E3 conference and it was jaw-dropping. Continue reading No Man’s Sky Lives!
