Neon Chrome Review

MONOCHROMATIC

Games in recent years have begun blending their genres in new and interesting ways. Role-Playing games and Science-fiction elements paired with a first-person shooter gave birth to Destiny. Playing a pinball game mixed with the space adventures of Samus Aran created Metroid Prime Pinball. Seemingly odd combinations that ended up being wonderful experiences. However, Neon Chrome combines a top-down shooter with RPG elements, resulting in a monochromatic experience that seems just a few shades off from its potential.

Let’s take a look.  Continue reading Games with Gold VS PlayStation+ Free Games – June 2016

MONG Podcast 124 | Reshaping the Future

This week’s MONG podcast was a little different. We were joined by Chris “The Corn Man” Cobb due to Jordan’s mysterious absence. Don’t you worry though, the podcast was still full of fun and information as it always is. We covered the end of Geralt’s tale in The Witcher series, the unknown Xbox One VR game and the possibility of Prey 2 being resurrected (yes, please)! This list is for those games.  Continue reading Five forgotten series that need to come back

The Ugliest of the Good and the Bad

So, what better way is there to illustrate that point than to flaunt our own idiocy? Let’s start with some games I’m convinced are good, and then I’ll tell you why that game you love is terrible. Shall we proceed?  Continue reading The Ugliest of the Good and the Bad

Blizzard’s First shooter: One of the Generation’s Best

Imagine if Team Fortress 2 had a baby with a more awesome version of Team Fortress 2, and that baby was raised by Blizzard — that is Overwatch. Not a MOBA, not Battleborn, Overwatch is a multiplayer,first-person hero-shooter that emphasizes cooperative gameplay over the solo-Rambo route. Combining smooth, addictive gameplay, a cast full of interesting and distinct characters, and a refreshing presentation — Blizzard has emerged with yet another cash cow on its hands. Despite not usually being a fan of multiplayer games  — Overwatch, is the most fun I’ve had with a game in years.  Continue reading Overwatch Review
