While most of the Kingdom Hearts series’ gibberish names are of little consequence, the franchise’s third HD collection is perfectly described by its title. Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is the perfect introduction to Kingdom Hearts 3, featuring two games and an HD movie that flow directly into the anticipated sequel. The collection is aimed squarely at longtime fans of the series, featuring Dream Drop Distance, 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage (0.2) and X Back Cover. Without the necessary background knowledge, however, newcomers with find themselves lost in the convoluted tangle of narrative surrounding some of gaming’s finest action-RPG gameplay.

The final Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue trailer was released earlier today, giving fans of the series a reason to celebrate amidst a dry spell of news regarding the third entry in the popular series. Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Final Mix Review

About three minutes after playing Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix (I had to take a breather to soak all of the game in) I promptly started up the menu for the prequel to the series, Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Final Mix. However, unlike with the previous game, I hadn’t played Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep when it originally came out on the Play Station Portable in 2010. Despite generally positive reviews during its launch, the question still lingered: how would the last-gen handheld game fare on home consoles?

Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMIX Limited Edition Details

Square Enix has announced that they will be offering a Limited Edition incentive for pre-ordering Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMIX. Those who pre-order the Standard Edition of KH2.5 early will be upgraded to the Limited Edition, which includes a pin featuring the game’s characters Sora and Mickey Mouse.
