Mafia III Gamescom 2015 Preview

The Mafia series is one that has always revolved around the idea of family. Whether it’s Tommy Angelo from the first game trying to protect his wife and child or Vito Scaletta working for the mob to help his mother and sister out of debt, family has been a cornerstone of the series’ stories. The upcoming Mafia III is no different but that’s where the similarities end, as developer Hanger 13 aims to take the franchise into a new and diverse direction. Some games are like a fine wine – only gets better with age. Other games are like a carton of milk – after a couple of weeks, it’s already spoiled. Legend of Kay Anniversary is the 10 year re-release of a PlayStation 2 game that doesn’t stand the test of time. Although it’s clear that there are elements of the game that seem fun for its time period, nearly every aspect of Legend of Kay feels too antiquated and old to hold most gamers interest for very long. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back Rewind Review

Do you remember Crash Bandicoot? If you’re still in high school, probably not. Back in the 90s, when Sony had first entered the console race, a little known developer called Naughty Dog developed Crash Bandicoot, a platformer that had the 3D visuals and mechanics of games like Super Mario 64 but the level design of a classic 2D platformer. The original was a big hit and the appeal of Crash himself made him the company’s unofficial mascot. A sequel was released a little over a year later and is widely considered to be the best in the series. Let’s see if that remains true today and take a look at Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back.
