Mario Golf World Tour Review
One of my favorite aspects about video games is the ability to experience things you would otherwise be unable to do, like being good at golf. Thankfully, the Mario Golf series has allowed athletically-challenged gamers like me to enjoy the thrill of golf without being exposed to the dangers of sunlight and green grass. Mario Golf World Tour for the Nintendo 3DS is the newest addition to the Mario Golf series. So is it worth your hard-earned coins? Continue reading Mario Golf World Tour Review
Kirby Triple Deluxe Review
Kirby Triple Deluxe for Nintendo 3DS is the latest game starring Kirby, Nintendo’s flagship pink puff. It is somewhat of an unofficial sequel to Kirby Return to Deamland (Wii, 2011). It is also the first portable Kirby game since Kirby Mass Attack (DS, 2011), and the first Kirby game on 3DS. So does it fulfill expectations, or is it all hot air? Continue reading Kirby Triple Deluxe Review

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Review
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is a murder mystery visual novel. For those of you who don’t know what a visual novel is: they are an interactive fiction with a whole lot of dialogue, static images, and very little gameplay. Continue reading Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Review
Trials Fusion Review
I’ll be honest here, I am not a fan of two wheel motorsports in the real world. It just doesn’t seem as exciting as something like four-wheeled racecar events. Weirdly, I’m the opposite in video games. I love motorcycle games and I’m a bit more “meh” about car games. I don’t have a clue why.
Final Fantasy X HD Review
Final Fantasy X is one of the most popular games in the series, only behind the likes of Final Fantasy VI, VII, and VIII in most fans’ eyes. This fact made it obvious to Square Enix that an HD port for both PlayStation 3 and Vita would be a huge commercial success. It also became obvious to me that since I missed Final Fantasy X the first time around, I should absolutely play it this time. This review is only for Final Fantasy X HD on the PlayStation 3, and is written by someone who is experiencing the story/game for the very first time. Continue reading Final Fantasy X HD Review

The Walking Dead: The Game – Season 2 debuted last December on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but better late than never, Telltale Games recently released Episodes 1 & 2 on PS Vita! For all you mobile gaming lovers out there, here’s what to expect when jumping into Episode 1 of this undead story on PS Vita. Continue reading The Walking Dead: Season 2, Ep. 1 Review, PS Vita
Mercenary Kings Review
Remember the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World? In it, there is an “extra life” sprite straight from the video game tie-in, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Videogame. Tribute, the same people whose work was featured in a movie about fighting and violence combined with humor, brings to the public Mercenary Kings, a Kickstarted video game with violence combined with humor. So, will Mercenary Kings be a crowning achievement, or will it be laughed out of the court?
Don’t Starve Review
I will not try to deny it, I do like food and I definitely don’t like to starve. At first glance, Don’t Starve, seemed like a walk in the park. When I entered the game, I died of starvation on the fifth day. I told myself, “Good job, Shawn. You can’t even follow the title.” This is because Don’t Starve strives to make you survive using your wits in a procedurally generated world. So, will Don’t Starve survive on the market, or will it be starving for players?
