LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is the latest iteration of the LEGO videogame franchise, following in the footsteps of LEGO Jurassic Park, LEGO Batman, and other popular licenses. Promotion and buzz on the game promised an immense open-world, gigantic character list, and faithfulness to the Marvel cinematic Universe (MCU). With the survival horror genre achieving a resurgence in recent years, it seems fitting that one of the most iconic franchises from its early days is reliving past glories as well. As Capcom aims to return the Resident Evil (RE) series to its frightful roots, they have begun to re-release past successes while awaiting the inevitable seventh entry in the series. Disney Infinity 3.0 surprised me when it released earlier this year, exceeding all of my expectations. The Twilight of the Republic Play Set was a genuinely great game based on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, while Rise Against the Empire provided a CliffNotes (yet authentic) take on the original trilogy. Game of Thrones: The Ice Dragon Review

The season finale to Telltale Games’ Game of Thrones may seem like culmination of all choices players have made in the past five episodes, but the biggest impacts to the world are primarily based on the decisions made in the last. While the story ends a little sooner for some of the Forrester bloodline, for better or worse, it is certainly not complete for the players who have followed these characters through a six episode season.

This week marks the tenth anniversary of the Xbox 360, Microsoft’s second system in the gaming industry. Say what you will about the Xbox 360 with its flaws like the infamous Red Ring of Death. I went through two systems.
