The Escapists Review
THE PERFECT PLAN
My first word of advice for players interested in The Escapists? Do not let its initial appearance fool you; do not go into this game expecting to beat it in a few short hours. Beneath The Escapists cute pixel art style lies a challenging gameplay loop that has little forgiveness for even the smallest of mistakes. Continue reading The Escapists Review
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Review
MONSTROUSLY REWARDING
The Monster Hunter series has been a runaway hit in Japan for several years, and now it has started to gain a large following in North America and Europe. The latest entry, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, has finally made its way to Nintendo 3DS owners outside of Japan. So has it been worth the wait? Continue reading Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Review
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Review
A Personal Adventure About Saving The World
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D is weird but wonderful. It has its flaws but it has its moments of brilliance too. I’m happy to say that Nintendo and Grezzo have done a great job in remaking The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask by fixing most of the problems of the original while keeping what made it so special in the first place. Side quests have never felt more meaningful, items more unique and a tale about saving the world more personal. Continue reading The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Review
Blek Review
MINIMALIST GAMEPLAY MEETS MAXIMIZED ENTERTAINMENT
Puzzle games often get brushed aside. Who would want to play a puzzle game when Smash or Call of Duty is begging to be played? Blek however, is a simple game that isn’t trying to be the next Halo franchise. It’s just trying to be Blek. Continue reading Blek Review

THE ULTIMATE HACK N’ SLASH/TABLETOP HYBRID
Have you ever wanted to play a tabletop card-based dungeon-crawler, and a third-person action-RPG at the same time? No, you’ve never thought of that? Well now you don’t have to because Hand of Fate is now available on PC and current-gen consoles. Hand of Fate is a unique game and so much more. The gameplay is both intriguing and exciting, and the graphics are gorgeous. However, this amazing experience is interrupted with the game’s persistent technical issues. Evolve Review
Hunt, Kill, Repeat
Turtle Rock Studios is a developer already much beloved for the Left 4 Dead series, a set of games that really pushed forward the concept of cooperative multiplayer. With Evolve, Turtle Rock looks to push cooperative multiplayer even further with an ambitious 4 vs. 1 match style. At full disclosure, I’m not very good at this type of game. Normally, I tend to stick to playing single-player titles (an option that Evolve allows). However, Evolve’s concept really excited me: a huge, nearly unstoppable monster versus a squad of hunters, high stakes, the thrill of the hunt. These ideas were enough to venture from my comfort zone into the realm of multiplayer gaming (which is definitely how the game deserves to be played). Was Evolve everything I hoped it would be? Did I have a great time? In short, the answer is yes, though a few shortcomings will likely prevent it from evolving into the most dominant game of 2015.
Apotheon Review
God-amelee
The Greek gods were not made to be perfect but to have flaws so that they could be entertaining. Thus, many myths were made with these gods, and they were written down using words and paintings. Most of what remains are on the sides of pottery, as Greek pots are physically strong and resilient. Apotheon is a game that looks like it came off of those Greek pots, telling a story about the gods and their flaws. So, does Apotheon hold up like a work of art, or does it crumble like Greek ruins?
Game of Thrones: The Lost Lords Review
A LOSS FOR THE BETTER
Game of Thrones: The Lost Lords is the second episode in Telltale Games‘ Game of Thrones series. In our review of Episode One: Iron From Ice, we mentioned that while the story was interesting and well within the vein of what fans of the HBO television series should expect, its pacing struggled, and the art style was a questionable choice. Still, with such a dramatic conclusion and so much promise for future exploration, it won a favorable score.
