Handheld gaming has certainly exploded in recent years. With the Nintendo 3DS selling more than 44 million systems and the PlayStation Vita’s dedicated and growing fanbase, there doesn’t seem to be any slowdown.
We previously brought you our thoughts on bundles for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Wii U. Unlike these systems, the Nintendo 3DS already has a slew of bundles and limited edition systems that can entice gamers to make a purchase. Trying to think of some bundles for the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita needed some creative thinking, but we’re confident that you’ll enjoy and agree with our picks:
Everyone knows that Nintendo’s home console isn’t flying off the shelves — whether it’s due to lack of consumer interest or just branding problems, it’s neither here nor there. That said, there is one thing that boosts Nintendo sales like no other — bundles. While they aren’t for everyone, there is no denying the mass appeal in the eyes of consumer. Not only that, but Nintendo has the deepest vault of cherished characters and established franchises to draw from.
What’s the fastest selling console in history? That’s right; it’s the PlayStation 4. What is one thing that will boost those sales even more? That’s right: bundles. Not everyone loves them (like Scott, he prefers the plain jane kind of consoles) but even those who like the standard consoles have to admit that the bundles sell. When it comes to Sony products, they can package more in a set than either Nintendo or Microsoft can.
To put it simply…people just plain love bundles.
Today at Gamescom, Sony announced the release dates for the recently debuted PlayStation TV.
