MONG Podcast 127 | They See Me Ridin’ Dirty
This week was hilarious. Watch as the crew absolutely breaks down while Myles reads through an interview that IGN had with Kojima about his upcoming title, Death Stranding, and it just devolves in the best way from there. They cover the topic of what gaming vehicle you would love to have in real life and some people have loose definitions of what a vehicle is. Little ghost baby piloting a nude Norman Reedus, anyone? Jordan, apparently, Jordan said that. Join us for the laughs on the MONG podcast! Continue reading MONG Podcast 127 | They See Me Ridin’ Dirty
Bethesda’s E3 Conference Recap
After last year’s amazing E3 conference, Bethesda was hoping to do it again, and for the most part, they succeeded. They showed off all the new games that had previously been announced and even a few surprises and one game that didn’t even get leaked. Bethesda was certainly better than EA’s weak conference. Why do we Beat Games?
Today was the first day of my spring break so I planned on writing for the majority of the day; however I spent the majority of my time playing a game called Catlateral Damage. It started out as an hour with a comedic but very engaging game, but this turned into a good three hours or so. I realized while I was on PSNProfiles that I was well on my way to already earning the platinum. This got me thinking, what drives people to beat and complete games? Continue reading Why do we Beat Games?
MONG Podcast 112 | Should Duration Determine Price?
Have you ever picked up a game and been finished with it 3 hours? Well the MONG Podcast crew have too and that was the Thought from Nowhere this week… kinda. They went in on the question of if a game’s duration and features should determine its cost. The answers may shock you, or seem absolutely reasonable because Myles, Adam and Jordan are quite reasonable human beings. Regardless, they did cover some actual news as well. Kojima made a return to the podcast with Norman Reedus’ possible tease of a collaboration to come, Watch_Dogs 2 has been confirmed to little fanfare, Quantum Break had a bevy of news this week and Dark Souls III is getting pre-order incentives while the enemies of Dark Souls I are being made to look silly. On top of that, Bethesda has confirmed, priced, and divulged information on the Fallout 4 DLC and last, but most certainly not least, is that PlayStation VR will be on the market this Fall! If you’re not excited, you. Should. Be. Continue reading MONG Podcast 112 | Should Duration Determine Price?
A “Terminal” Case of Fallout 4
Here is a change of pace from the “check out these exploits/glitches” and “top mods” articles surrounding Bethesda’s Fallout 4. Let me tell you about the importance of terminals and why you certainly need to read them.
5 Thoughts on the Best Selling Games of 2015
NPD has released data for the 10 best selling games of 2015. Before viewing the list it is important to note that NPD only tracks physical retail copies, digital sales are not counted in the totals. Also, any unit sold as part of a console bundle like the PlayStation 4 Star Wars Battlefront bundle or Xbox One Fallout 4 bundle is not factored into sales on the list. With these factors in mind, the platform which sold the most copies for each game is listed in parentheses by descending order. Check out the list below and read my thoughts on the sales as a whole.
