Video Games I’m Thankful For (Part 13)

Lucky number 13 in the “Video Games I’m Thankful For” series focuses on a mobile-oriented game. A very simple, yet addicting, game is often the most dangerous in stealing hours upon hours of your time. What’s this addictive time-killer? Let’s check below:

Snake II

Now, I’m not sure if I’m showing my age, but this was the only game on my first Nokia “brick” cell phone. It only had a black and white screen, with a blue backlight, so the graphics were non-existent. Regardless of the graphics or sound effects, this thing was terribly addicting.

You’d reach a high score, bask in the glory for about 15 seconds, then immediately want to beat it. There was no room for mistakes. One move and you’re done. Now, I’m not going to lie and say I was never aggravated, convinced that the phone “glitched”. But isn’t that the standard gamer excuse? What games are you thankful for? What games have a special spot in your heart?

Come back tomorrow for the next game of the series!
