Can you handle the epic-ocity that is… the episode after the 100th? The MONG Podcast crew, you love ‘em, Adam, Jordan and Myles, are at it again with episode 101. They hit the big stories this week, such as the major departure in gameplay that Five Nights at Freddie’s next horrifying(?) adventure will take, the continuing Kojima-Konami battle for who gets the last word… even though it’s just Konami yelling and if they’re gonna get their hands on the sweetest release come November 10th… that SWEET sweet Jones Nuka-Cola. SHOVEL KNIGHT DELAYED FOR A SPELL, XBOX ONE VERSION CANCELLED

Shovel Knight has been delayed until November 3rd in North America, and October 30th in Europe on PlayStation 4, 3DS, PC and Wii U, and Shovel Knight has been cancelled on Xbox One because of publishing policies on the platform. Well, this game happened. The latest chapter in the long-running Persona 4 sub-sub-series is here, and it’s a rhythm game. It just so happens that Persona 4 and rhythm games are two of my favorite things ever, so this should be right up my alley, right? I thought so too. But after spending a lot of time on the portable dance floor, I’ve been left feeling more conflicted than I have been about any other game I’ve played in recent memory. 12 Hours Into Persona 2: Innocent Sin

Japanese role-playing games, specifically the ones with turn-based combat used to not appeal to me. I found the turn based combat to be tedious and usually the games require grinding, which just means a lot more of the combat I hated. As I have grown older, I have become more open to trying things I may not have liked before, so I eventually decided to play Persona 3 Portable to see what all the hubbub was about. That game now ranks as one of my all time favorites, along with the even more excellent Persona 4 Golden. Recently, I decided to go backwards and give Persona 2: Innocent Sin a shot.
