RESIDENT EVIL: ORIGINS COLLECTION REVIEW

THE ORIGINS OF TERROR

With the survival horror genre achieving a resurgence in recent years, it seems fitting that one of the most iconic franchises from its early days is reliving past glories as well. As Capcom aims to return the Resident Evil (RE) series to its frightful roots, they have begun to re-release past successes while awaiting the inevitable seventh entry in the series. Combining the freshly-polished remake of the original RE, now dubbed Resident Evil HD (REHD), with a beautifully remastered edition of Resident Evil 0, Capcom has provided the perfect survival horror starter kit for gamers. DIGITALLY DOOMED: RESIDENT EVIL 1.5

We all have that one game that we were beyond excited for, only to find out it was canceled. Perhaps it was never even announced, quietly snuffed out to be discovered later. This can happen for many reasons, from the sudden closure of its development studio, to the unexpected decision to go in a different direction. These games were doomed to never see release, but that doesn’t mean the concepts were bad. Today I’m going to talk about one such game, known to fans as Resident Evil 1.5, which never saw the light of day. Continue reading DIGITALLY DOOMED: RESIDENT EVIL 1.5

MONG Podcast 108 | The Legendary Debate: Lara v Nate

Welcome to episode 108 of the MONG Podcast! The crew genuinely hopes you’ve come here for fun, because that’s what you’re gonna get. This episode contained the most talk of Gone Home and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture ever in any podcast not specifically about either of those games. We’re secretly trying to win the #1 Conversational Gone Home/Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture combo cast award. All jokes aside, the crew did cover stories such as the massive deluge of new Division info, Phantom Dust’s (hopeful) revival, the coming of the Danganronpas to the Steam store and Journey interactive LIVE. The Thought from Nowhere this week was the most heated yet with the crew debating who’s better, Lara Croft, or Nathan Drake. Fun fact, Nate and Debate rhyme! Come have a fun time! Watch the podcast… thine! Thanks to Tabata Silver for the Thought Out of Nowhere! Continue reading MONG Podcast 108 | The Legendary Debate: Lara v Nate

MONG Podcast 107 | How About Them Mini-Games?

Welcome to episode 108… 107 of the MONG Podcast. This week the crew covers the price of the Oculus Rift, is it too much? Will it be worth it? The return of Psychonauts and the re-release of the original onto the PS4 console. On top of that, Sony tried to trademark the term “Let’s Play,” what’s up with that? As the disembodied voice of the podcast, my opinion is that it’s kinda dirty and silly. Anyway, watch the podcast, hear the crew’s input and opinions, form your own opinions, have fun! Join us for the time of your podcast life! Especially when we get to talking about the mini-games we love… or hate! Continue reading MONG Podcast 107 | How About Them Mini-Games?

MONG Podcast 105 | The Deckard Cain-ining

Come stay a while and listen! The crew was going to talk about video game news, but then they realized the one true video game news that really matters is only Deckard Cain. Be at peace and listen to the podcast! Continue reading MONG Podcast 105 | The Deckard Cain-ining

MONG Episode 104 | The Adam Rants: Volume One: The Problem with Linkle

Myles is kinda sick and tired, literally not figuratively, so this is going to be a bit called in. Join the crew while they cover the topics of the (hopefully) last shot fired between Kojima and Konami, Danganronpa 3, Gone Home making the trek to consoles, the problem with Linkle and so much more! Join us, Myles swears it’s a great podcast and he’s great, when his life force isn’t being drained by sickness, so take his word for it and check us out! Whew! Continue reading MONG Episode 104 | The Adam Rants: Volume One: The Problem with Linkle

Game of Thrones: The Ice Dragon Review

“… OR YOU DIE”

The season finale to Telltale GamesGame of Thrones may seem like culmination of all choices players have made in the past five episodes, but the biggest impacts to the world are primarily based on the decisions made in the last. While the story ends a little sooner for some of the Forrester bloodline, for better or worse, it is certainly not complete for the players who have followed these characters through a six episode season.
